Alube Mika

Alube Mika of the Mpande (Shell) clan was born in 1968. He was the fifth child of Mika Mwape Chungwa and banaMwape. He was a true father’s child, keeping his father company from early childhood and later accompanying him as a drummer during his visits to town as a shing’anga. In 1987, soon after his father’s death, he left Chibale to join the Zambian army but returned after some time. He started a farm, hunted, worked as a drummer at Cibombe, and earned some money as a herbalist. At present, he is a herbalist in the Ndola area.
